Ho'olokahi:
Hawaiian Arts and Crafts at the Aston Wailea
You can experience the culture of Hawaii every Friday at the Aston Wailea.
Director of Hawaiian Culture, Bill Boyd, has organized a very impressive
collection of authentic crafts and art experiences to help share the culture
of Hawaii. The grounds are filled with people demonstrating the crafts
of Hawaii, and you can try your hand at it, too. The Aston Wailea looks
out over a beautiful beach and the lobby area is open, airy and filled
with the music of Jesse Nako'oka from 4 pm to 6 pm. Spend a few hours
here and find harmony and peace of mind as you make a flower lei or try
weaving lauhala. The management and staff have put a high priority on
making the hotel provide a true Hawaiian ambiance and experience.

Hawaiian
Art Experience at the Ritz-Carlton
Each Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the Aloha
Walkway and the lobby, you can experience music and art unique to Hawaii.
One of the artists of the hotel's Village Gallery is there to demonstrate
the making of art. The hotel staff puts on a great show, singing and dancing
those wonderful Hawaiian favorites. You can see and participate in some
lei making, taste some poi made by a local taro farmer, and watch a pineapple-cutting
demonstration.
